The DAVID project aimed at understanding how damage occurs in digital video systems, building better risk management and quality assurance techniques so that the systems themselves become more robust and resilient. It also looked at how this damage might be monitored and detected, and how the technical quality of content be improved beyond the original state to satisfy requirements of new use channels.
