LIBER/OCLC Fund for Central and East European Libraries

The Ligue des Bibliotheques Europeennes de Recherche (LIBER) is delighted to announce the LIBER/OCLC Fund for Central and East European Libraries, which is generously supported by OCLC.

The Fund will offer membership of LIBER to individual libraries in Central and Eastern Europe for a period of years in order to assist them to support their membership of LIBER from their own resources at the end of the period of support from the Fund. Applications to the Fund will require to be accompanied by a written commitment that the Library will continue to fund at least two further years of LIBER membership from their own resources at the end of the period of support from the Fund.

A number of LIBER memberships will be offered by the Fund annually over a period of five years. Applications will be invited from libraries in Central and Eastern Europe not already in membership of LIBER. Information will also be post on the LIBER Website hosted by the Royal Library, Copenhagen Enquiries about the Fund should be sent to Dr Ann Matheson, LIBER General Secretary, National Library of Scotland, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EW, Scotland, UK (fax: +44 131 622 4803; email: a.matheson@nls.uk).
