LIBER/EFLC FUND INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE FUND

The LIBER/EFLC Fund was established in 1995 by an agreement made between LIBER and the European Foundation for Library Co-operation (EFLC).

For a period of ten years LIBER will use the Fund to reimburse the travel and accomodation costs of young librarians, especially those from Central and Eastern Europe, to enable them to attend LIBER meetings such as the Annual General Conferences, and meetings and workshops arranged by LIBER’s Professional Divisions.

The 2000 LIBER Annual General Conference, including meetings of the Professional Divisions, will be held from 26 June to 1 July 2000 in The Royal Library, Copenhagen, Denmark. The theme of the 2000 Conference will be: ‚Libraries as Global Information Leaders‘. The Conference will be hosted by The Royal Library.

An award from the LIBER/EFLC Fund will be made each year by the President of LIBER, currently Professor Elmar Mittler, and the former President of EFLC, Professor H. P. Geh.

Applications, which should include the applicant’s curriculum vitae, and details of the professional position currently held, should be sent by 31 January 2000 to:
